CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) Monitor
CRT discovered by German physicist Ferdinand Braun in 1897 and became known as the "Braun Tube". CRT is a vacuum tube containing an electron gun and a heating element (heater), which serves to accelerate and deflect the electron beams. This is because in a vacuum hot, the electron beam is easy to move from the cathode toward the anode.
CRT Monitor Advantages:
- Prices are relatively cheaper
- More accurate colors and sharper
- Flexible monitor resolution
- Easy maintenance
- Free dead pixels, ghosting and viewing angle
CRT Monitor Disadvantages:
- Consumption of electricity greater
- Damaging the eye
- Beam radiation result in less good for people. For example brain, eye and hair cells
- Depending on refreshrate
- Vulnerable distortion, glare and flicker
- The dimensions are large and heavy
